Which graphics settings cost the most performance? What to turn down first

Not every graphics setting costs the same. Resolution, ray tracing, shadows and fog take the biggest bite out of your frame rate, while texture quality mostly uses video memory and barely moves fps.

Play with the settings in the demo to see how each one changes a frame-rate bar and a rough look score, and learn which to turn down first. It is a rule-of-thumb illustration, because every game behaves a little differently.
